Mrs. Geneva Wilson Johnston, 86, widow of Samuel W. Johnston, died at 8:45 a.m. today at her home, 324 North Washington street. She was born September 21, 1857, in New Concord, Ohio, the daughter of John H. and Mary Wilson. Her daughter, Miss Edith Johnston, Ottumwa survives. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the First Presbyterian church and had lived in Ottumwa for more than 60 years, most of that time in the family home at 505 East McLean street. Mr. Johnston died in 1922. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lester Jay funeral home, the Rev. R.P. Graebel D.D. of the First Presbyterian church in charge. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service. Burial in Ottumwa cemetery.
