Mrs. Hazel Bruner, 45, wife of Sergeant Lester T. Bruner, stationed in Italy, died at 1:10 a.m. today at Sunnyslope sanatorium. She formerly lived at South St. Paul, Minnesota. The daughter of Frank and Emma Gustason, she was born in Wapello county October 9, 1898. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Emma Gustason, Council Bluffs; six sisters, Miss Edith Gustason and Mrs. Alfred Head, both of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Vergie Stodghill, Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. J. Clark Hovis, Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Earl Williams, Ottumwa and Mrs. Roy Trimble, Montezuma; and two brothers, Gilbert E. Gustason, South St. Paul, and Private Frank I. Gustason in the South Pacific. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Earl. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Malvin H. Lundeen of the First Lutheran church. Burial will be in Munterville cemetery.
