Mrs. Georgianna Kephart, 73, who resided at 1401 North Elm street, died at 1:20 a.m. today following a long illness. She had lived almost all her life in Ottumwa after having moved here in early childhood. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Stephens and was born May 18, 1871, in McDonel county Illinois. She was a member of the Christian church. She is survived by six children, Nelle, Harry and Merel at home, Lloyd and Mrs. Myrtle Tharp of Ottumwa and Harvey of Waterloo: one sister Mrs. Margaret Mitchell of Des Moines, and seven grandchildren. Her husband J.H. Kephart, died in 1921. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Lester Jay funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Harold Roberts, pastor of the First Christian church and the Rev. Edward Day, D.D. pastor of the First Congregational church Burial will be made in Ottumwa cemetery.
