Mrs. Clara Anderson, 85, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at their home, 1022 Hayne street. She was born in Sweden and came directly to Ottumwa on arrival in the United States in 1884. Survivors are her husband, August H. Anderson two daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. Clarence Holliday and Mrs. George Swanson, both of Ottumwa; Earl Anderson, Denver; Carl of Ottumwa, and Theodore of Spencer. She also has a brother in Sweden; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was a member of the First Lutheran church. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. Malvin H. Lundeen. Burial in Memorial Lawn. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
