Mrs. Edna R. Knight, 37, wife of Frank E. Knight, Ottumwa route 2, died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday. She was the daughter of Mark and Ida Poncy and was born in Ottumwa September 15, 1906 and had resided in Wapello county her entire life. She was a member of the Church of God. Surviving are her husband; two sons, La Verne and Frankie Jr. and one daughter Naomi, all at home. Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Ida Poncy, of Ottumwa; four brothers, Oscar Poncy, storekeeper second class, in the Navy, and Harold, Paul and Clarence Poncy, all of Ottumwa, and four sisters, Darlene and Arlene Poncy, Mrs. Lola Ruby, all of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Margaret Stevens of Tacoma, Washington. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Elmer. Funeral services will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in charge of the Rev. Lester Shields, pastor of the Church of God. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
