Mrs. Ida M. Goodall, 83, wife of the late Fred T. Goodall, who operated the first drug store to be establish on the south side of Ottumwa, died at her home, 224, North Schuyler street, Tuesday. A resident of Ottumwa for the past 60 years she had made her home at the intersection of Schuyler street with Church Street and Chester avenue for the past 44 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, April 2, 1925. Mrs. Goodall was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Propst and was born April 7, 1860 at Davenport. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alice E. Proud, Ottumwa; a son Arthur L. Goodall, Angola, Indiana; a sister. Mrs. Minnie B. Kendall, Grinnell and a brother, Charles W. Propst. Mrs. Goodall was a member of the Willard Street Methodist church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. C.R. Reed, pastor of the Willard Street Methodist church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
