Mrs. Nettie J. Nicholson, 66, died at her home 214 South Graves street at 3 a.m. Sunday. The daughter of Phillip and Catherine Piper, she was born at Mt. Pleasant December 25, 1887. She had been a resident of Ottumwa 38 years and was a member of the First Baptist church. Survivors include a son, Orren Nicholson, Ottumwa a daughter Mrs. Lillian Menge, Kansas City, Kansas; a grandson, Graeson Nicholson, Ottumwa, and a brother, Bert Piper, Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Nicholson, April 8, 1939. Funeral services will be at the Johnson funeral chapel at 1 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Charles Piper of the Open Bible church at Galesburg, Illinois. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery at Mt. Pleasant.
