Ira Cassill, 71, a resident of Ottumwa and vicinity practically all of is life, died at his home, 311 East Fourth street, Monday night. He was the son of Lewis and March Cassill and was born at Boone March 11, 1872. Surviving are his wife, Henrietta; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Flactiff and Mrs. Ruth Ford, both of Ottumwa, and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lillian Hendricks, Ottumwa; three half-sisters, Mrs. Arena Eakins and Mrs. Pearl Pottorff, both of Ottumwa and Mrs. Hazel Davis. Miami, Florida, and two half brothers, John Decker and Ellis Pickrell, both of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in Ormanville cemetery.
