George R. LeGrande, 84, died at 11 a.m. today at 333 Appanoose street. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison LeGrande, he was born June 10, 1859, in Louisville, Kentucky. He had lived in Ottumwa about 50 years and was a member of the Davis Street Christian church. Mrs. LeGrande died in November of 1930. He is survived by four sons, H.C. of Ottumwa, R.M. of Bloomfield, William G. and Ernest C. in California; and by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Bunch of Spokane, and Mrs. Catherine Bow of Biloxi, Mississippi. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for George R. LeGrande who died Thursday morning at 333 Appanoose street, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Johnson’s chapel, the Rev. E.L. Frost of the Davis Street Christian church in charge. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
