S.A. English, 73, of Belknap route 1, died at his home at 3 p.m. Monday. He was the son of George and Margaret England and was born in Washington county November 25, 1870. He married Lucalia Davenport January 20, 1894. She survives together with a son, Irwin England, Keota; a daughter Mrs. F.E. Holbrook of Milledgeville, Illinois, five grandchildren and a sister Mrs. T. H. Neiswanger, Ottumwa. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Marsh funeral home in Keota, with burial in the Keota cemetery. The body will remain at Johnson’s chapel here until Wednesday afternoon, when it will be taken to Keota.
