Death Sudden For Mrs. C. W. Brockman
Mrs. Nora Brockman died suddenly Saturday evening at her home, 602 North Jefferson street. She was the wife of Charles W. Brockman, Ottumwa building inspector, and was born February 21, 1895, in Garden Grove, Kansas, the daughter of James and Emma Weems. Mrs. Brockman was widely known. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of the Mizpah circle of The King’s Daughters, and of Ottumwa chapter No. 112, Order of Eastern Star. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Jean Brockman of Ottumwa; one son, John with the U.S. Army in England; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Bremhorst and Mrs. Clara Kent of Des Moines; and three brothers, Thomas Weems of Denver, Carl and Arthur Weems of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. Richard Paul Graebel, D.D. pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Interment will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The casket will be closed at 2 p.m.
