Mrs. Ida May Parker, 84, died Thursday afternoon at 2:15 at her home at 333 Appanoose street, after a brief illness. She was born June 20, 1859, in Thurmant, Maryland, and has lived in Ottumwa for the past 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Parker, in 1926, and also one daughter. Mr. Bernice Hurley, and one son Raymond Parker. She is survived by three daughters Mrs. Irene Hollen of Los Angeles, Mrs. Jessie Baumgardner of San Diego, and Mrs. Forest Michaels of Ottumwa, seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. George Finneyfrock, of Fredericksburg, Maryland. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Carroll Reece funeral home, in charge of the Rev. C.R. Reed of the Willard Street Methodist church, burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
