Roy Coleman, 27, former Ottumwan, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday at a hospital in San Diego, California. The son of Frederick J. and Elmira Coleman, he was born in Queen City, Missouri, April 2, 1916. He moved to California from Ottumwa just a year ago and had been working for the Consolidated Aircraft Corporation.
Funeral services for Roy Coleman, former Ottumwan who died in San Diego, California, last Wednesday, will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel here at 3 p.m. Wednesday in charge of the Rev. A.D. McClure and the Rev. Roscoe Morrison. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. The casket will be taken to the home of Mr. Coleman’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Frederick J. Coleman 1032 South Weller street, at 5 p.m. Tuesday and will be returned to the chapel at 12 o’clock noon, Wednesday.
