John B. Kielkoff, 75, Spanish American war veteran, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the St. Joseph hospital. He suffered a paralytic stroke April 9, 1939 and had been ill since. Mr. Kielkopf was the son of John and Catherine Kielkopf and was born April 30, 1868, west of Hedrick. Survivors are his wife, Emilie and brothers and sisters; Mrs. Elizabeth King, Mrs. Clara Darner, Miss Edith Kielkopf, Charles and William Kielkopf, of Ottumwa; Mrs. Emma Deuser, Phillip and Leonard Kielkopf of Hedrick. Funeral services for John B. Kielkopf, 129 North Washington street, Spanish American war veteran who died last Friday, were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Community funeral Service Chapel in charge of the Rev. Joseph Darner. Burial was in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
