Mrs. Elizabeth Orman, 82, a resident of Wapello county since her childhood, died at 4:35 p.m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Sample, Blakesburg route 1. Her husband, Henry Orman, died in October of 1938. She was the daughter of Jacob and Matilda Kendall and was born February 2, 1858, in Indiana and came to this county when a child. Survivors include four sons, Jerry Guy, Ralph and Jake Orman, all of Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Sample, Blakesburg route 1, and Mrs. Mae Landen, Ottumwa; 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Emmett in 1918, and Riley on December 15, 1943. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Charles Albin. Burial was in Shaul cemetery. The casket was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mae Landen, 517 Clinton avenue, Saturday and was returned to the chapel at noon today. Pallbearers were Charlie Orman, Charles H. Orman, Alva Hunt, Tom Eyre, Tom Orman and John Orman.
