Mrs. Edna Hargis, 50, wife of Emmett Hargis, Eddyville route 1, died at 9:25 a.m. today at Ottumwa hospital. She was the daughter of William and Ellen Gardner and was born in Columbia township, Wapello county, January 17, 1893, where she lived her entire life. She was a member of the Columbia Methodist church. Survivors include her husband, a son, David, at home, and a sister, Gertrude Gardner, Eddyville route 1. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Columbia Methodist church. Burial will be in Columbia cemetery. The casket will remain at the Johnson funeral chapel until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to the residence.
