Mrs. Lucinda Barnett, 75, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the convalescent home at 603 East Second street. She was born August 14, 1868, at Kankakee, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse and Martha DeMars, and she had lived in Ottumwa for the past 19 years. She is survived by the following children; James Barnett, Stockton California, Mrs. Martha Darling, Richwoods, Missouri; Arthur L. Barnett, Richard F. Barnett, Mrs. Bertha Engstrom, Mrs. Eva Poline and Mrs. Mary L. Skinner, all of Ottumwa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Matilda Jones of Eugene, Oregon. Her husband, Roland O. Barnett died in 1930. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucinda Barnett, who died Tuesday evening, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday from the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. J.R. Estes, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
