William G. Yeager, 70, a veteran Wapello county farmer, died at the Ottumwa hospital at 2 p.m. Thursday. He was the son of Lorenzo and Margaret Yeager and was born near Bladensburg, in Pleasant township, October 21, 1872, and had lived in that community his entire life. He was united in marriage to Dora E. Fisher May 4, 1904. To this union were born three sons, Gerald of Fairfield, Loren of Ottumwa route 7, and Garth at home. Besides his wife and sons, he is survived by four grandchildren, four nieces and three nephews. Mr. Yeager was a member of the Bladensburg Christian church and served on the county board of education for the past several years. The body will be at the home until noon Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home in Ottumwa, conducted the Rev. S.P. Williamson of the Fairfield Christian church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the services.
