Loren W. Clark, 73, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday at his home in Batavia. He was born October 23, 1869 at Batavia, the son of Daniel and Anna Clark, but had been a resident of Ottumwa for 52 years, previous to moving back to Batavia five years ago. He was a former employee of the Hardscog Co. He was a member of the Methodist church of Batavia. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Clark, and one daughter, Mrs. Julia Miller of Ottumwa. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Suzanne Cornelison and Bill Cornelison of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the Johnson funeral chapel, in charge of the Rev. C.R. Reed, pastor of the Willard Street Methodist church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
