Mrs. Emma Peters, 80, died at 11:55 a.m. today at her home 523 East Mary street. She was born March 17, 1863 in Missouri the daughter of Charles and Leah Brassfield and came to Ottumwa in 1910. Her husband George Peters preceded her in death in July of 1934. She is survived by two sons, David T. Link of Raymondville, Missouri and H.G. McClaskey of Ottumwa. She is also survived by one brother, U.S. Brassfield of Osgood, Missouri and a sister, Mrs. Z.P. Scott of Long Beach, California. The body will remain at the Johnson funeral chapel until 10 a.m. Tuesday, when it will be shipped to Osgood for services and burial.
