Jack Kendall, 76, was found dead at 11:30 a.m. at his home, 713 East Mill Street. The body was removed to the Traul funeral chapel, where it will remain pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for John. H. Kendall, 76, who died Thursday at his home at 713 East Mill street, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Traul funeral chapel, in charge of the Rev. C.R. Reed of the Willard Street Methodist church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. He was born September 14, 1866, in Kendallville, Indiana, the son of Francis and Ellen Kendall, and came to Ottumwa as a boy. His wife is dead. He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Hazel H. Caldwell, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mrs. Vivian Cravatzo of Ottumwa, Mrs. Marion Areingdale of Ottumwa, Mrs. Jeanette Land of Des Moines and Mrs. Heled Rosendahl of Muskegon, Michigan; two brothers Jake Kendall of Ottumwa, and Al Kendall of Rock Island, Illinois; four sisters, Mrs. Stella Bashore of Ottumwa, Mrs. Della Rollison of Davenport, Mrs. Vila Shoemaker of Oklahoma, Mrs. Louellen Dilly of Ottumwa and 15 grandchildren. The body will remain at the Traul chapel until time for the funeral.
