Walter G. (Rusty) Osborne, 61, employee at the Ottumwa Iron Works, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at his home, 418 Vernon street. He was the son of William H. and Margaret Osborne and was born February 16, 1882, at Lucas. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Goldie, a son, Thomas, Long Island, New York two grandchildren, Yvonne, and Grant Osborne, both of Long Island, New York; a sister, Mrs. Olive Lambert, Ottumwa; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hancock and Miss Camille Lambert, both of Ottumwa, and a great niece Olive Camille Hancock, Ottumwa. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. J.B. Johnson of Wesley Methodist church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ed Hughes, Gomer Hughes, Dave Bowes, Abe Crowe, Joe Parker and Henry Chadwick.
