Mrs. Edna Mae Emanuel, 68, died at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, at the Ottumwa hospital, where she was taken April 15 after a mishap in which she fractured a hip. She was the wife of Oscar C. Emanuel of route 2. She was born March 10, 1875, at Eddyville, the daughter of William and Lucinda M. McElroy and had been a resident of Wapello county her entire life. She was a member of the Christian church in Eddyville; She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. Joe L. Beach of Hedrick, route 2, and by one brother, Earl McElroy of Ottumwa. Her parents and one brother, Carl R. McElroy of Chillicothe preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday form the Johnson funeral chapel, in charge of the Rev. E.L. Frost, pastor of the Davis Street Christian church. Burial will be in the Highland cemetery at Eddyville. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
