Rollin Shaw who had lived in Wapello county for more than 50 years, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leona Randol of Clearview avenue. He was born December 30, 1859 at Bloomington, Illinois, the son of William and Margaret Jane Shaw. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lettie Shaw, one son Willis Shaw of Avery and two daughters, Mrs. Randol and Mrs. Margaret Smelser, both of Ottumwa. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one sister, Mary Jane DeHart of Ottumwa, and was preceded in death by two children. He was formerly a member of Ottumwa lodge No. 9, I.O.O.F. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday from the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. John Estes, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
