Mrs. Matilda Knaak, 65, wife of Reinhart Knaak, died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday at her home two miles southeast of Martinsburg after several years of ailing health. She was born in Germany and came to this country when 13 years old. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Fred and Frank both of Martinsburg; five grandchildren, a brother August Ehmke, Antrona, Illinois and a sister Mrs. Bertha Heltzmann, Peoria, Illinois. Funeral services will be at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at the residence and at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran church at Hedrick, conducted by the Rev. Carl Ganchow. Burial will be in Deuser cemetery. The body was taken to the home from the Community funeral chapel in Ottumwa late this afternoon.
