Wallace Eugene Voorhies, 17-year-old son of Alfred and Leah Voorhies, 301 North Fellows avenue, died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday at the St. Joseph hospital. He was born in Missouri May 28, 1925. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Dwain Lee and Billy Wells, both at home; and two sisters, Vera Dean and Verla Jean, both at home His grandparents, and Mrs. A.C. Steen , Lancaster, Missouri, and a great grandmother, Mrs. Ella Crow, Queen City, Missouri. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending arrangements.
Funeral services for Wallace E. Voorhies, who died Sunday evening at the St. Joseph hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Greentop, Missouri, Christian church, in charge of Harry R. Lewis of Milton. Burial will be in the Greentop cemetery. The body will remain at the Johnson funeral home until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
