Mrs. Hazel Bankson, 23, died at 7 a.m. today at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Thrasher of 1063 Tuttle street. She was a member of the Harding Park Open Bible church, and is survived by her parents and one son, Dennis Bankson. She is also survived by one brother and seven sisters; Mrs. Rebecca Yates, Livermore, California; Mrs. Viola Winfrey, Mrs. Mae Miller, Mrs. Pearl Summer, Mrs. Lola Kerby, Mrs. Wanda Darner, Miss Betty Thrasher and Amos Thrasher, all of Ottumwa. The body is at the Johnson funeral home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Bankson who died Thursday morning at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Thrasher of 1063 Tuttle street, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday from the Johnson funeral chapel. The Rev. Roscoe Morrison will be in charge and burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery. The pallbearers will be Clarence Matheney, Paul Matheney, John Bonger, Loren Slye, Gerald Seaburg and George Udie.
