Paul Eaton, 39-year-old former Ottumwan, died suddenly early today at his home in Beloit, Wisconsin. Death came, according to word received her, at 4 a.m. as the result of a heart Attack. He was the son of Mrs. Ira Eaton, 611 North Jefferson street. He was born February 14, 1904, in Ottumwa and was graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1922. He left Ottumwa 19 years ago and was married April 27, 1927, in Davenport to Miss Maude Hall of that city. He is survived his wife and two daughters, Marilyn 4 years old and Carol Sue, 2 years old. His is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Ira Eaton, 611 North Jefferson street, and by one brother Arthur Eaton of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his father and one son. Eaton was the owner and operator of a meat market in in Beloit. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and of the Holy Name Society of Beloit. The body will arrive in Ottumwa at 3 a.m. Wednesday and will be taken to the Vaughan funeral home pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Paul Eaton, who died suddenly Monday morning at his home in Beloit, Wisconsin, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Vaughan funeral chapel and at 9:20 o’clock from the Sacred Heart Catholic church. The Rev. Paul Albers will be the celebrant of a requiem high mass and burial will be made in Calvary cemetery. Members of the General Shields council No. 888, Knights of Columbus will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at their home on Third street when they will go to the Vaughan chapel to recite the rosary with members of the Holy Name society at 8 p.m. The pallbearers will be Dave Farley, Lawrence Ostdick, Ben Schmidt, Ray Jacobs, Charles Roberts and Dennis Kelter.
