60-Year Resident Of Ottumwa Is Dead
George M. Winpigler, 82, died at 1 a.m. Friday at his home 908 West Second street. He was born September 16, 1860, in Warren county, Iowa, the son of William and Sarah Winpigler. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for about 60 years, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Winpigler, one son, Delton L. Winpigler of Ottumwa and three daughters, Mrs. Lena Scott of Hedrick, Mrs. Dorothy Ades and Mrs. Georgia Kranz both of Ottumwa. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday from the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. Harold Roberts, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the services.
