Edwin M. Lester, 78, resident of Ottumwa for 33 years, died at 7 a.m. today at his home, 405 West Second street. He was born July 4, 1864, at Peoria, Illinois. Survivors include two sons, Frank, and Walter Lester, both of Ottumwa, and three daughters. Mrs. Ethel Wilson of Washington, D.C. Mrs. Gladys Eagle of Surtalnd, Maine, and Mrs. Catherine Connors of Berwyn, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine, in November of 1914. The body was removed to Johnson's funeral chapel awaiting funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Edwin M. Lester who died at 7 a.m. Thursday at his home 405 West Second street, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday from the Johnson funeral chapel. The Rev. Harold Roberts of the First Christian church will be in charge and burial will be made in Highland cemetery at Eddyville.
