John Kametz Dies; Was 72
John Kametz, 72,a retired coal miner whose home was at 501 Wildwood Drive, died at 2 a.m. today at the St. Joseph hospital after an illness of several weeks. He had lived in Ottumwa for about 20 years. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Genochio, and Mrs. Mary Cunningham, both of Ottumwa, Mrs. Agnes Smith of St. Paul and Mrs. Lucille Cummings of Albia, and by three sons, Joe Kametz of Coffeyville Kansas, Frank Kametz of Rock Island, and Andy Kametz of Albia. He is also survived by two brothers, one sister and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Trinity Lutheran church with burial in the Ottumwa cemetery. The body will be removed from the Fremont Co-operative Burial association to the Genochio residence here this evening.
