Mrs. Josie Reese, 60, died at 2:05 p.m. Friday at the St. Joseph hospital. She was born March 17, 1882 in Dudley, the daughter of Zene and Harriett Hazlett. She is survived by her husband, Evan J. Reese, one daughter, Mrs. Fred L. Moore of Ottumwa and four sons, Thomas Reese of Albia, William Reese of Des Moines, David Reese of Chicago and John Reese of Ottumwa. She is also survived by a brother,
Bar Hazlett of Avery and one sister, Mrs. D. E. Ridgeway of Albia, and by 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Reese had lived in this vicinity practically her entire life.
Private funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday from the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. Thurman Bowne, pastor of the Finley Avenue Baptist church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
