F.A. Harry, Veteran Meat Inspector, Dies
Frank A. Harry, 53 government meat inspector at the John Morrell & Co. plant here for the past 30 years, died suddenly at 4 p.m. Monday at his mother's home on Tacoma avenue. He was born November 22, 1889, the son of John and Flora Harry, and lived here his entire life. Survivors include his wife, Nellie M. Harry, three daughters, Mrs. Geneva Pierson, Albia, Mrs. Georgia Funk and Mrs. Virginia Toms, both of Ottumwa; a son Corporal Don A. Harry, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; his mother four brothers, Willis and John Harry, both of Ottumwa; a sister, Vesta Harry, at home and two granddaughters, Jane Anne Toms and Deanna Jean Funk. He was preceded in death by his father, John Harry, May 11, 1936. The body was removed to the Johnson funeral chapel pending arrangements.
Funeral services for Frank A. Harry, government meat inspector at the John Morrell & Co. plant here, who died Monday afternoon, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday from the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. George T. Hubbard pastor of the East End Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery. The pallbearers will be Albert Johnson, Clay Galpin, Howard Crawford, Lester Dull, Joe Fisher and Louie Schaub.
