Native Of County Dies At Age Of 74
Zachary Silvester, 74, life-long resident of Wapello county, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday at his home on Ottumwa route 1. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Silvester and was born in this county October 24, 1868. He was a member of the Abingdon lodge No. 104, A.F. & A.M. at Abingdon. Several cousins survive.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in Competine cemetery, two miles north of Farson. The family requests no flowers be sent. There will be a Masonic service at the chapel.
