Mrs. Maggie Worunum, 59, whose home was at 921 Plum street, died at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Joseph hospital. She was the wife of Harry Wournum and was born May 3, 1892 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carol Taylor. She was married October 6, 1892* to Harry Wournum, in Omaha, but they have made their home in Ottumwa for the past 10 years. She was a member of the Second Baptist church and is survived by her husband; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Gillum of Omaha; two brothers, Arthur Taylor and Grant Taylor, both of Omaha.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday from the Carroll Reece funeral chapel and at 2:30 p.m. from the Second Baptist church in charge of the Rev. W.M. Shaw assisted by the Rev. Henry Parker. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The body will remain at the Reece funeral parlors until the funeral hour.
*1892 is listed a marriage date, but also the birthdate, which does not add up.
