Mrs. Rophie Rush Trowbridge, 63, life-long resident of Ottumwa and wife of Earl Trowbridge, died at 11:45 a.m. today at her home, 511 East McLean street, after a brief illness. She was born May 19, 1879 in Ottumwa the daughter of William Jackson and Mary Rush. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jean Alford, Ottumwa and Mrs. L.L. Niesen, Beloit, Wisconsin and two granddaughters. The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home awaiting completion of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Mrs. Earl Trowbridge who died Tuesday at her home, 511 East McLean street, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lester Jay funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Harold Roberts of the First Christian church. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery.
