Clarence Raymond Smith, 32, died Sunday at 4 a.m. at the home of his parents, Mrs. and Mr. Wensel S. Smith of 219 West Golf avenue. He was born January 1, 1910, in Iowa county. Surviving are three brothers, Frank, and Albert of Ottumwa and Lawrence of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and two sisters, Mrs. George Logan of Ottumwa and Mrs. Lena McSpaden of Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Vaughan funeral chapel and at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic church the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. conducting the requiem high mass. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Members of St. Mary's parish will meet at the Vaughan chapel Tuesday night at 8 o'clock to recite the rosary.
