Mrs. Elizabeth D. (Ida) Mather, 75 died at 10:50 a.m. Sunday at her home in Agency. She was the daughter of Elijah and Prescilla Johnson and was born June 11, 1867, near Agency and lived her entire life in Wapello county. She is survived by a foster daughter, Mrs. Iva Marmholtz of Ottumwa; one brother, D.W. Johnson of Agency, and by eight nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hessie Mathes, in 1929 and by three brothers and one sister. She was a member of the Agency Methodist church. Short funeral services will be held from the home at 1 p.m. Tuesday, and at 1:30 from the Agency Methodist church in charge of the Rev. M.D. Wyatt. Burial will be in Agency cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Johnson funeral chapel to the home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The pallbearers will be Ronald Johnson, Rex Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Lawrence Truitt, Walter Gay and Howard Kibler.
