Native Of Sweden Dies Here At 81
Mrs. Hattie Williamson, 81, a resident of Ottumwa for 54 years, died at 1:45 a.m. today at the St. Joseph hospital. Her home was at 221 Clayton. She was born in Sweden March 5, 1861, and came to this country in 1888. She was married to Charles Williamson November 12, 1890, in Ottumwa. Her husband died in 1923. She had been a member of the First Lutheran church since 1888. Survivors include two sons, Carl V. Williamson, Des Moines, and Martin J. Williamson, Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Eva McLean, Burlington, and Mrs. Hilda Swanson, Ottumwa, three grandsons, and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting completion of arrangements. Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Williamson of 221 Clayton avenue who died at the St. Joseph hospital Wednesday at 1:45 a.m. will be held from the residence at 1 p.m. Friday and at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran church, conducted by the Rev. Malvin Lundeen. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The casket will be removed from the Johnson's funeral chapel to the residence at 4 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be Oscar A. Wallace, Oscar R. Jepson, Elmer L. Edmund, Ludvig Anderson, Henry Seaburg and Walter E. Fern.
