Sidney Kyle McClung, 58, of Ottumwa, died at the St. Joseph hospital at 10:15 a.m. today. He was a medical patient. The body was removed to the Vaughan funeral chapel pending arrangements.
Funeral services for Sidney K. McClung 58, who died Monday at 10:40 a.m. at the St. Joseph hospital will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Perry Harden, 111 North Clay street and at 9 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic church where the Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh, V.F. will celebrate a requiem mass. Burial will be in the Eldon cemetery. Surviving are his wife Honora; four daughters, Caroline of Oakland, California, Mary of Milwaukee, Berniece of Berwyn, Illinois and Margaret at home. He is also survived by a half-brother E.B. Stephenson of Stanton Virginia. Mr. McClung had been employed for 30 years by state florist and gardener at the Independence state hospital. Members of the parish may meet to recite the rosary at 8 p.m. tonight at the home. Pallbearers will be Edward, George and Bernard Harden, L.H. van Vieck, George O'Brien and Al Parkinson.
