William Runion, Coal Miner, Dies
William Runion 79, a coal miner living on Columbus street, route 5 died at his home at 10:55 a.m. today. The son of John and Jane Runion, he was born in Peoria January 8, 1863, and came to Ottumwa as a boy. He had lived in this city the rest of his life. Surviving are his wife, Nellie, two sons Robert and Buster, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Earl Albertson, and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting the completion of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for William Runion, Columbus street, who died at his home Tuesday, will be held from the Johnson funeral chapel Thursday at 3 p.m. in charge of the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
