Mrs. J.B. Wilkins of Ottumwa received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. Bernard Allott, 58, at Oakland, California, at 1 a.m. today after several years failing health. Mrs. Allott was born in Ottumwa, August 5, 1883, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dorn, and lived here until about 15 years ago. She survived by her husband, a son Jack; three sisters, Mrs. Wilkin, Mrs. W.J. Cunningham of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. C.W. Griffin of Oakland, California, and a brother Charles Dorn of Ottumwa. Funeral services for Minnie V. Allott will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Vaughan funeral chapel, and at 9 o'clock from the St. Mary's Catholic church. A requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. Mrs. Allott died March 13 at Oakland, California. Her husband survives her as does a son Jack; and aunt Mrs. M. Brennan of Ottumwa and three sisters, Mrs. J.B. Wilkins Ottumwa; Mrs. W.J. Cunningham, Houston, Texas and Mrs. Helen Griffin, Oakland. Mr. and Mrs. Allott were formerly Ottumwa residents, but for the past 18 years they have lived in California. The body arrived Tuesday morning and will remain at the Vaughan funeral chapel. Members of St. Mary's parish will meet at the Vaughan funeral chapel at 8 p.m. today to recite the rosary. Pallbearers will be John Huston, Will and Francis McInerney, Lawrence Starns, Joe Lutz and Mike Mier.
