Mrs. Kate Redman Dies Thursday Night
In Grocery Business Here Many Years
Mrs. Kate Redman, wife of the late Benjamin Redman, died at her home, 122 Iowa avenue, at 9;30 p.m. Thursday. She had been ill for three years. Mrs. Redman was born in Russia, the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Bodner. She and Mr. Redman were married in Russia and came to this country over 20 years ago. They came directly to Ottumwa and were associated with the grocery business for many years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Abe Buchman, Sadie and Blanche of Ottumwa, and two sons, Jacob and Arthur of Ottumwa. Four grandchildren also survive. Her husband preceded her in death in 1928. Funeral services were held this morning at the Carroll Reece funeral home, in the charge of Rabbi Cremer of Centerville. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Jewish cemetery.
