Mrs. W.S. Shoemaker Dies At Age Of 77
Lived In S.E. Iowa Her Entire Life
Mrs. Nora J. Shoemaker, 77, widow of William Shoemaker, died today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Dalin, 440 North Court street. She was born August 13, 1864, in Van Buren county, the daughter of Julius and Emaline Clark. She lived all her life in southeastern Iowa. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Dalin, Mrs. Ava Hartman of Fairfield, and Mrs. Wilda Young of Oklahoma City; two sons Glen L. Shoemaker of Omaha and Waldo C. Shoemaker of Sioux Falls, a sister Mary R. Smith of Yakima, Washington; a brother Manford Clark of Wichita, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Shoemaker, who died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Dalin will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Herbert A. Keck D.D., pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be L.E. Fletcher, Lynn Harness, C.C. Meisters, A.W. Trautwein, Alfred Lawson and Miles H. Tuft.
