Funeral services for J.B. Gilyeart, who died at the Mt. Pleasant hospital at 1:15 a.m. today, will be held Thursday at the Methodist church in Hedrick. The son of John and Harriet Gilyeart, he was born near Mt. Union March 2, 1872. He had farmed near Hedrick for many years, retiring last fall. Surviving are his wife, Luella; a son, Pearl of Marion and four daughters. Mrs. Lela Picken, Cedar, Mrs. Irene Peterson, Indianapolis, and Harriet and Luella of Ottumwa. Also surviving are six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. The body is at the Community funeral service parlors. Funeral services for J.B. Gilyeart of Hedrick, who died Tuesday, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hedrick Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Russell. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery at Ottumwa. The body will be removed from the Community Funeral Service chapel in the home at Hedrick at 9 a.m. Thursday.
