Dr. H.C. Hahn, 48, native of Ottumwa and resident of this city until reaching manhood, died Tuesday at 4 p.m. at his home in Chicago after a long illness. He was a dentist. Born here the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hahn, Dr. Hahn was graduated from Ottumwa High school and attended Parsons College a year before completing his education in Chicago. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Elsa; two daughters, Patricia and Charlotte, and two aunts in Batavia, Mrs. L.W. Clark and Mrs. Mary H. Clark. The latter was at the Hahn home in Chicago at the time of the death. The body is to be brought to Ottumwa for funeral services and burial. Arrangements are yet to be made. Funeral services for Dr. H.G. Hahn who died in Chicago Tuesday, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. George T. Hubbard of the East End Presbyterian church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. Dr. Hahn had been practicing dentistry in Chicago for several years. When in Ottumwa he was a member of the First Presbyterian church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of McKinick lodge Scottish Rite. The body will be brought to Ottumwa Friday evening. Pallbearers will be Manley O. Stevens, Clarence Glenn, Earl Shepherd, Arthur Erland, Oscar Stoltz and Dr. A.K. Murphy.
