Native Of County Dies At Age Of 75
John W. Farrington, 75, of Withrow street, Ottumwa route 4, died at his home at 9 p.m. Tuesday. The son of Tilman and Sara Jane Farrington, he was born in a log cabin near Lock Burn October 25, 1866. He lived in Wapello county all his life, and was a coal miner. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; two stepsons, Buck V. and William Babb, and a sister, Mrs. Flora M. Harry, all of Ottumwa. Also surviving are four grandchildren and 17 nephews and five nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Community Funeral service parlors. Burial will be in the Round Point cemetery.
