Mrs. Margaret Tennant, 59, of 1831 West Samantha street, died at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ottumwa hospital. She was the daughter of John and Eliza Welt and was born in Cedar Iowa, September 19, 1882. She had been a resident of Ottumwa the past 12 years. Mrs. Tennant was a member of the V.F.W. auxillary. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary M. Lord of Ottumwa; one son James N. McDonald of Chicago; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Deskin of London Mills, Illinois and Mrs. Anna Keister of Los Angeles; three brothers, William W. Welt of Farmington, Illinois, George D. Welt of Chicago and Thomas V. Welt of Willington, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. in 1931. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel.
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Tennant, who died Thursday at the Ottumwa hospital will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the St. Mary's Catholic church, with the Rt. Rev. J.M. Walsh V. F. in charge. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn cemetery. The casket will be at Johnson's funeral chapel until 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be John Davis, Ray Kelly, Ron Willamon, William Toopes, Ivel Blomgren and Carol Halberg.
