Mrs. Mary Vashti Olney, 71, wife of Charles W. Olney of Dudley, died at Nevada, Missouri at 4:20 a.m. today. She was born February 10, 1870, near Blakesburg. For the past 44 years she has lived on the same farm in the Dudley community. She was a member of the Columbia Methodist church. Surviving are her husband, Charles; three children, Mrs. Ethel Russell of Minneapolis, Mrs. Mildred Carlson of Ottumwa, and Glenn C. Olney of Udell; three brothers Dr. Henry Abegg of Dougherty, George Abegg of Blakesburg, and William Abegg of Norht Platte, Nebraska and five sisters, Mrs., Mayme Clifford Oneida, Illinois, Mrs. Clara Cohagen, Hollywood, Mrs. Louise Hadley, Yakima Washington. Anne Abegg, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Stella Buchanan of Ottumwa. Four grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Cora Stevens, in 1940. The body is to be brought to Ottumwa Sunday morning and will be taken to the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting the completion of funeral arrangements.
