Benjamin J. Hall 32, of 301 West Fourth street, was instantly killed in an auto accident near Troy, Missouri at 5 a.m. Sunday. His companion, Laurence A. ("Pete") Johnston, 34, of 218 Grandview avenue was critically injured. The two Ottumwans were driving (obit cut off)...

...South Side Drug Co. He has also been attending the pharmacy college at Drake university, Des Moines. He had completed two of the four-year course. Johnston's wife was notified of the accident in Minneapolis, where she was visiting. She left immediately for St. Charles. Hall's wife was in Des Moines when she learned of the accident. She went to the home of her husband's parents, in Queen City, Missouri. Hall's body was brought to the Johnson's funeral home in Ottumwa Sunday night. Hall was the son of B.J. and May Hall. He was born at Milton April 19, 1909. He was graduated from Bloomfield high school with the class of 1928. He was a member of Kappa Psi pharmacy fraternity, and for the two years of his study had been an honor student. He was member of Franklin lodge No. 14, A.F. and A.M. of Bloomfield.

Married in 1937.
He married Miss Treva Hinder January 31, 1937, at Kirksville, Missouri. She survives. He also is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Hall of Queen City, Missouri; a sister, Mrs. G.B. Rentzel of Milton; two brothers, Edgar Hall of Bloomfield and Joe Hall of Greentop, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at Johnson's funeral chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday, in charge of the Rev. Malvin H. Lundeen, pastor of the First Lutheran church. Burial will be at Milton. The Masonic order of Bloomfield will hold services at the grave. Pallbearers will be Albert Stoessel, Frank Glover, Herman Johnson, Wilbur Haney, Dick Hofmann and Emmett Boulger.
